This asshole (only an asshole for the amazing score, dont actually know him), found this along with many other crazy bike stuff for $600...it was setup with different components but this frame is legendary. Koichi Yamaguchi only made 3 or so of them from what I remember.

Aside from the stupid bars and wooden rims, i would ride this bike into the ground.
It's kind of like what my bike would be, if i carefully covered every part in money.

why did the original bike porn thread get replaced?
  1.
^the original disappeared, so I made a new one.clockwork ted: this is my favorite thread. sweet BJ alexi!
  2.
^When Alexi quit the internet, all his content disappeared too, so you couldn't search on the thread title anymore. Though the thread did still exist, I think.

Here's my question: why the hell do we need one thread for all bike porn when we have a bike porn discussion category? If you're using discussion topics properly, you can just filter for all the discussions that fit under Bike Porn and, voila!, it's still all organized in one place. That way we can have a "saddle mod" thread and go wild there, or a "wacky frames" thread, instead of trying to hammer a hundred different definitions of bike porn into one endless snaking thread. Also, if we go with the one-thread concept, we have to kill the entire thread if it gets out of hand. See the old Intro thread for a great example. Why not have an introduction category instead? I think it'd be easier to moderate under this model (locking one thread doesn't kill the entire discussion). Etc. Etc. Etc. I should put this in the suggestions thread. Or the suggestions CATEGORY (if we had one).Word nerd

cause people like fisticles get banned instantly for being annoying, but certain bike shop owners, no matter how insulting they can manage to be do not get banned. i am sorry, but (sexually) insulting some one's dead father is not cool.

unless my eyes are wrong, it also looks like an S-shaped fork, which new pinarellos use. UTTERLY USELESS! testing has shown that making the fork S-shaped and the seat stays S-shaped (note: not having curved seat stays to make the bike stiffer, but looking like an S from the side view) does not do anything to help (or detract from for that matter) from the bike. it appears to just be a marketing ploy by pinarello, and a poor and ugly one at that.

mark if you died to have either of those two bikes, please please please use a stem that is longer then 40mm. actually, use something at least 100mm, anything shorter looks extraordinarily stupid especially with any sort of drop bars.

oh, and marty's frames look muck better.
