I'm not comfortable re-posting the image of this classic bike-pr0n stunt-prop, but go here and you'll see it.

The fixed gear eschaton is immanent. All the hipsters will die out as their girlfriends turn to well-endowed, brightly colored fixies for love, solace and unbeatable cadence.

i wish having a bike (a real bike, not some candy-colored shit people just walk around with) would get me laid. i've spent much more than i wish to disclose on my bikes...they are teh s3x yet i am not teh s3x.

i mean the amount of hookers i could have had for what i've spent on bike HAS to come close to some eliott spitzer level shit

or like 10 much cheaper ones

or my own business with about 100 very cheap ones.

....none the less...bikes are good, and sexy, but i think i'm currently at my cap (well, not with parts, just with actual bikes)

the metallic green one was for the 1st OOT from the departed race.

also, pestering a frame builder to make your frame doesn't make them do it any faster. it just stops them from enjoying it. cut it out.

    just out of curiosity,
if making a frame with such a tight wheelbase, why put the rear drop outs so far out?
the drop outs are long, and you the wheel all the way in and you still have decent wiggle room...

  15.
i can't tell from the photos, but is that fillet brazing or tig'd? its a pretty great lookin' frame, and i love the inverted seat stay caps. those are always a nice touch. are they gonna wrap around and meet at the top of the frame, or just taper into the top tube?

that's gonna look great when its done.

also, Brantley in NYC has the sparkling green frame. i think he managed to build it up almost entirely out of parts he's won from races. it looks pretty fuckin' ridiculous, but he loves it.flip mode. flip mode is the greatest.

it looks like tigged to me. fillet uses another metal (bronze?) to join them, whereas tig welding just melts the tubes together. yes? You're purposefully attempting to sabotage my degree project. Thanks.

A new LaPierre tDF replica (Team Eensy edition) I picked up for my head honcho boss from ATA this morning.

Full Dura Ace 7800 except for the Ultegra compact crank
    Sword Bars
    Sigma wireless HR Computer.
Mavic whatever wheels with the one red spoke.
    Two carbon cages.
Time GXL (the low resistance model) that hook up to Sidi Genius 6.6 shoes.
    Carbon seat post
Selle Italia gel flow or whatever
    Michilein Pro 3 tires...
A FUCKING GIGANTIC SEATPOST BAG AUGGHGHAHGHAHGAGHAH

I'm gonna have to say that the bike weighs less than 15 pounds with everything on it, including the bag.

The saddest thing is that it'll never probably see over 20 miles per hour. :( :( :( :( :(But the fact of the matter is: Bones heal. Chicks dig scars. And the United States of America has the best doctor-to-daredevil ratio in the world!

too many spacers! You're purposefully attempting to sabotage my degree project. Thanks.
  23.
c'mon now! that bike can go higher than top-of-the-line ksyriums. doesn't mavic or hed make a climbing wheel that weighs just over 1000g per pair?

i wonder how many total miles that bike will ever see. my guess is <500.gone
  24.
Well let's put it this way, she could out run pretty much everyone on this board unless you guys run marathons.

    That and she's 56. She's ooooold.

As far as the wheels, I don't know how much lighter I could get them for her without going tubular or carbon. :\

It's fun spending other people's money though. But the fact of the matter is: Bones heal. Chicks dig scars. And the United States of America has the best doctor-to-daredevil ratio in the world!

    What a waste.

(ps. I'm attempting to get back to half marathon shape, so I'd race her at running.)
(pps. I know. I'd lose that race. But at least my bike is designed to do what it does.)
