i got me a growler of rock bottom ipa last night. took it home and drank it. pretty good. real fresh as it was brewed only 3 days ago. i like their brews, but it's kinda like drinkin' at an applebee's.

So, I really, really don't like Long Trail's standard IPA. They put banana essence in it, which is incorrect. However, a couple nights ago, I tried their Double IPA. That is a double done *right.* Smooth, with a nice layering of flavors, without being kick-you-in-the-face strong like other doubles. Still packs an alcohol wallop, but its not apparent while drinking.

Ish is good. Highly recommended.ascott430 - "Was going to build it up into a fixed gear until I realized I'd rather spend money and time on mountain bikes."

    ^solid brewery

I was on Nantucket the other weekend for a wedding, and we rented bikes and rode to the Cisco Brewery for a tasting. Man, they make some good shit. Their porter may have taken Smuttynose's place as my favorite porter, but i need to do a little more "research". I only had it on draft (nitrogenated), i bought a bomber to take home (carbonated) but haven't cracked it yet.DFL and DTF :D:D:D:D

i usually shoot for unibroue or victory golden monkey.... but lately i have been slow sipping a new brew from drink four brewing company based out of lacrosse Wisconsin. it's a blue microbrew called "blue raspberry flavor". it's heavy at 12% but not hoppy at all. quite tasty.

dude pointed out something comforting in a way--no matter how rich a man is, he can't really drink more'n 30 or 40 glasses of beer a day.
  13.
^^ so there is apparently a cranberry lemonade flavor that i've been trying to get the dude at quality liquors to order. i mean, the fruit punch is definitely over hopped, but it does have that nice oaky finish.Much like the earth's mantle, that sort of thing is beneath us.

just got Brooklyn's Sorachi Ace in at work! It was draft only last year, and it's back in 750ml bottles. A great saison hopped with a crazy Japanese hop variety called Sorachi Ace, the hops are now grown in Oregon. It's super dry and has a great lemon zest aroma.

Last year I was so impressed with the beer I was inspired to track down my own Sorachi Ace hops and try to recreate it - definitely one of the better brews I've made.

^have you tried Bear Republic's Hop Rod Rye? The bottle looks like a ZZTop album cover (in a bad way) but the beer inside is nothing short of delicious. I think it's my current favorite IPA.You said time was infinite, so why the watch wrapped around your wrist?
