everytime they have some kinda free thing round here, the line is so fuckin' long that ol' brunop says fuck it. i might stand in a long line for bike shit, but for burritos and ice cream? i got better shit to do. i mean i can afford to pay a coupla bucks when i want a burrito or ice cream (as for ice cream, that's like never).

i long for the days of the great qdoba giveaways. more low key. and i kinda dug the grub. at least when it was free. i haven't been back since.

Me, too. I'm guessing nobody has been back since they od'ed on the free Qdoba.

There's also Ben and Jerry's in the Park Place area.
  3.
^If I remember correctly, that's where I first met you, Endurance. In line for a scoop at free cone day at the Park Plaza Ben & Jerry's. Ah, the memories!Word nerd
  4.
^You are correct. We bonded over the 2005 NYC Halloween alleycat spokecard. Speaking of which was maybe my favorite race ever with it ending up being about 48 miles.

Rob, I'm headed over to the Park Place Ben and Jerry's in about ten minutes if you want to take a break from work.

^^Sometimes beer is not even vegetarian. If you want to get technical. Here's somebody's list of vegan beers. I cannot vouch for the accuracy of the list since I really don't care enough to avoid the molecule or two of fish bladder that might or might not be in my Guinness.Word nerd

if anyone wants to get drunk on free wine tonight:

    5pm: Wine Gallery (5-7pm)
516 Commonwealth Ave, across from Kenmore Station; 617.266.9300
Gallery’s serving up two different Pinot Grigios, a varietal recently shown to share almost identical DNA to Pinot Noir, suggesting we're all descended from the same Grape Apes.

    5:30pm: DeLuca’s Market (5-7pm)
239 Newbury St, at Fairfield; 617.262.5990
Although DeLuca's hasn't settled on what they're pouring yet, they have narrowed it down to "yes".

    6pm: Best Cellars (5-8pm)
745 Boylston St, btw Exeter and Fairfield; 617.266.2900
Four wines poured by a rep from Masciarelli, a Mass-based importer/producer specializing in Italian reds for Irish whites.

    6:30pm: Charles St. Liquors (5-7pm)
143 Charles St, btw Cambridge and Revere; 617.523.5051
Eschewing the vino, Sam Adams is dropping by with its Beer Lover’s Choice; cast your vote for either the Blackberry Witbier or the Coffee Stout to permanently join Sam’s line of brews, then get bitter in the knowledge that the Electoral College will once again subvert your will.

7pm: Beacon Hill Wine and Spirits (5-8pm)
63 Charles St, at Mt. Vernon; 617.742.8571
Beacon's pouring a Sancerre from the Loire Valley, a German Riesling, and a “nice French Pinot Noir”, a decision made after the last Pinot drank too much of itself and started making racist jokes.

    FREE COUCH
Up for grabs is a 2 year old Ikea Klippan sofa, not the 4 seater, more like a skinny 3 seater or an obese 2 seater.
It is natural fabric in good condition, but it's a little worn in color/stains. The perk is that you can still buy a new cover for it from Ikea (in many colors) and voila, brand new couch. And the covers are washable.
It's from a smoke-free home, but it has been slept on by a Chihuahua for the last year. That being said, he's never peed on it or anything, and he doesn't shed very much so there is no hair on the couch.
I will keep it inside my apartment until somebody claims it, and I can help you load your car or whatever. It's really light though, not a huge couch.
This couch has never been outside, does not have any bugs or blood on it, etc. Basically, it's never been to Allston or Mission Hill.
It looks exactly like the picture below, but worn a bit. Not your grandmother's lumpy velour couch.

Just to add, the couch is in Dorchester, right at the end of Mass Ave.
And the dimensions from Ikea are below.

    Width: 70 7/8 "
    Depth: 34 5/8 "
    Height: 26 "
    Seat depth: 21 1/4 "
    Seat height: 16 7/8 "
