I know there is a Chicago race this weekend, but for those of you not able or willing to make the trek out, there's something at home for you to enjoy as well.

    November 8th, 2008
Noon, By the Pavillion at Jamaica Pond (The Arboretum is a bitch to get out of)
This will be a hunting themed alleycat.
    Bring your bullhorns and gunracks.
    That sort of thing.
There WILL be beer at the finish line. And a B B Q.

email me if you want to help out/work a checkpoint/give unsolicited advice/etc/etc/etc

seriously I'm down, two fried turkeys is always better than just one! But I can tell ya the price of buying all the spices and the turkey really add up.. Also it's a time consuming process, not something that can be done quickly at the finish line. (my method takes about 3-4 hours, only about an hour of which is "frying" time)

I'll make one if we can get a bit fundz from the organizers or the people who's wantz eats.if your bike gets locked, you probably deserve it. I've met morgie once or twice, but I don't think of him as a liar. Go guzzle some cum (not to belittle those who choose to swallow) you nut licker.

I'm going to need checkpoint volunteers.
    You'll be compensated with beer.

I've got 2 or 3 volunteers already, but need maybe 5 more.

also. a portion of this race will be a time trial sprint down boylston st, from landmark center to charles st. you will be handed a card at that checkpoint with your time on it. someone at the next checkpoint will write your finishing time. there will be a prize for the winner of this "race" as well.

so yeah. volunteers. let's get em.out of true.

regestration will start a bit before noon, more like 11:45 or so, the race will start once registration is over, which could be noon, or could be 12:15 or so, who knows. this is flexible. i'm 4 hours deep into spoke card making (approx 150 total cards...you'll see...) so yeah...see you all tomorrow.out of true.

Big thanks to Revolution BIcycle Repair for hosting the event and giving us some socks to keep our feet warm, and another Big thanks to Palmer for his prize donations (seriously kick ass). Rob got himself an old Raleigh frameset with some neat curved tubing, Kurt snagged a huge wald basket so he can carry more dead cats in bags at one time, and Ian won a set of Ourys for his victory in the first annual "assholephalt trackstandoff" in the lot behind Revolution. Also, thanks to my crew of cp volunteers, some of which i never even got to see...thanks pete, tomai, alexi, cara, ling, matt, eric, kendall, javi, and cole/his crew for riding those cards out to the commons.
