A few years ago (at the same MIT reuse run where I got the KHS Montana for free) I also got a free KHS track frame -- I don't remember if it was an Aero Comp, but I definitely remember it was Made in the USA from a True Temper tubeset with that same bent seattube. It was in fine shape except for a very small dent in the toptube. But it was quite small, and I knew Mrs. Pocky would laugh at me if I ever built her a sw33t f1xie, so I couldn't use it. And so like an idiot, I donated it to CW with the expectation that they'd sell it and make some $$$.

It's probably still buried somewhere in the bowels of Rugg Road.

Although there's a chance it made it to Galen's basement. I should find out.::lols at Dan's great photoshopping job:: ::slowly stops laughing:: ::googles:: ::kills self:: -tinyhonkshus

I dunno about the price, but this is one of those Rossins I haven't come across photos of before (mountain bikes, sure, but not this model). By that standard I will agree it's probably rare?

fyi those rossins with a "dupont paint system" sticker were imported to the US unpainted and painted in some florida workshop. the color always looks good in pictures but the paint is thick and uneven, the decals are crooked, and there are air bubbles and other imperfections

you can see that the dropout faces, the cable guides, the canti-studs, the crown race seat, the bb shell, the head tube, the seat tube, the bottle cage bosses, the derailleur hanger, and the seatpost binder threading have all been either masked poorly or not at all. nothing has been faced or finished. that's just what i can see from the pictures, the decals look bubbled too.

if you buy a NOS Rossin with one of those stickers expect lousy paint

My SLX Rossin wasn't too bad?

The paint is crazy fragile though, I'll give you that. You look at it wrong and paint jumps off the frame.

Does it have a DuPont paint decal?
  2.
    It does.

Admittedly the guy I bought it from in Texas seemed like he was probably super-anal. I wonder if he looked through a number of frames before choosing this one.

That belongs in the LOL thread. Those are $189 new. I've been waiting to find one on sale for $79 so I can buy it solely for the tires and rims.

By the way, this is the best review of this bike: http://fat-bike.com/2013/04/is-the-walmart-fatbike-really-that-bad/

    What's up with this frame?

It looks like steel, which would mean its not a Cannondale. But the dropouts look cast and it has a cast seat lug. Both signs its not a shitty frame.

And the geometry in the ad doesn't make sense. 58cm c-t and 50 t-t? That would be a ridiculous looking frame.

Am I crazy for thinking it looks like an All City Big Block?A few spokes shy of a wheel.

Hard to tell from the pictures, but the drop outs do certainly look like a big block.
