   Speaking of polo, anyone have suggestions on materials for making a mallet.brian QG: 4) Columbus tubing is Italian, rather than from Ohio like I originally thought. This sounds nice.

   shaft= ski pole or golf club
   
   head= ABS or Yellow gas pipe stuff. but you have to find it or steal it. You can buy PVC, which will work, but it will crack sooner than later.
   
   drill a hole through everything and insert a bolt.

   Yeah, Legit Bike Polo will hopefully be up and running before too long. I intend to keep prices at a minimum (hopefully $10 for a standard mallet'n then a couple bucks extra for any bells and whistles you may desire.../very customizable)/i honestly don't care about profiting in this endeavor.
   
   legitbikepolo.com eventually, ... If anyone knows a graphic/web designer who'd be willing to work with me to put together a very simple site that'd be mega appreciated. payment in mallets... just kidding.
   
   if anyone is passionately against the name or has a totally bitchin' name in mind, i'm very open to suggestions.

    hey lauren! i think you were in my writing class with mills last year.. correct? anyway, lemme know how your story works out cause i am thinking about heading to the. uh. tournament next sunday to try to put together a final project for my photo-jo class. bike polo sure is getting a lot of play in BU journalism it seems.. ha.
    
    so anyway, yeah HEY GUYS i'm coming next weekend to take a bunch of peeeektures. so it better be awesome or i will cry and not turn in a final project this semester. also.. is there anyone doing anything in preparation for this.. like i don't know building mallets or something.. i don't know, just anything that seems photograph-able. i'm really trying to expand the scope of the project a little so i don't just end up with a bunch of photos of dudes on bikes. i need variety. anyone have any ideas?

    I made 6 mallets last night, 4 of which are pretty normal (one is super stubby and the other has an angle'd head), ...(much thanks to Tylarr for supplying me with all the malleticious materials)

    Sundays circa noon in Allston (the street hockey court just south west of the Harvard Colosseum) is our usual spot. We may be playing in the North End court more regularly now... but that'll be determined by the chatter on this forum (Prince st. and Snowhill or something?     we shoudl really find a place to play in the winter, anywhere is fine with me as lng as there is no ice, the north end court would suck if we didn't have bags although we could play the long way with a goal against the Italian flag. i will check the allston court and see how the ice melts there. but we should figure this out so we can play and get better then NYC. also people should look in the annual east side polo tournament, it is alot to bite off and maybe we should take part in one before trying to host it but its worth considering. also once everyone is back from xmas break i would like to have a polo party in allston with a fire in a barrel and maybe BBQ food......we will see.
    thanks jav for the awesome tourney and teamwork and carrying me through the earlier games.
