    This may be one of the lamest excuses ever to missing bike polo but here it goes:

    On Wed morning I was riding to work (in a bike lane) when an asshole in a minivan passed me then immediately cut into a driveway. Of course I had to cut into the driveway too or slam into his side door. When he stopped, I got off the bike and banged the windshield a few times and started yelling at him. He then got out of his car and yelled some jarbled english about stop hitting his car (some immigrant dude). I was thinking of some u-lock justice, but I knew plenty people were already watching so I rode off.

    10 minutes later I noticed couldn't squeeze my left hand because it was swelling. I guess I hit the windshield too hard and bruised my left hand pretty bad, so I have been icing it the past few days. I guess I am the one who ultimately lost.

    And I still haven't broken in the new polo bike, maybe next week...

    Secondly (and just as important) more than few people have asked me why I didn't print more Boston Bike Polo T shirts?

    I tell them that I did but some shit neck has been using them for --- rags and doesn't want to part with them.
    Please sell a few to people that want to contribute to the scene.
    I paid for the T's and printed them, the least you could do is sell a few and buy me a six pack if nothing else.
    Use the same ---rag over and over. You don't need a new one every time.

    dude, getting a polo bike together is cheap, easy and totally worth it if you plan on playing with any regularity.
    you check CL enough to know the shitload of old beaters available for min. bucks.
    i know tyler's got a bunch of polo worthy frames/bikes in his basement...
    jusayin..

    i agree. although it's cool playing there sometimes, just because random people walk by and are all "wahhhtt?"...originally we started playing there mostly so downtown folks would show up more. but they didn't.

    Gonna build up a polo bike when I have some time/money to get one. Might manage to talk my brother out of the Giant MTB he had me bring up for him, which is heavy as all hell.     i do have lots of things to make polo bikes out of as well as all of the tools to do it.i would like to get rid of some of the beater frames i have kicking around at little to no cost or i can build them up into genuine polo bike for the cost of the parts i would have to buy and the short amount of time it would take. just let me know if anyone is interested.

    This maybe pricey, but I CL a Nisiki SS for $70, then got a brake, wheel, and misc. parts from Simple Living Cycles. All in $220 for a polo bike.

    Sorry I am going to CA for the week so no polo, tricks night, or the 6 other awesome events scheduled for this week...
