It's mike from Boston Bike Polo. We are demonstrating our skills[or lack of] to the masses. We'll be at BKB-Somerville on Friday, May 2nd at 8PM. We have spare mallets and loner bikes, so come check us out. Due to size restrictions of the space, we will be operating on a much smaller scale.

Mike here dusting off this thread again. The warm weather is here and it is Wednesday meaning Boston Bike Polo is in full swing. Wednesday is upon us and is beginner night down at the polo court. We've had some newbs come lately and always welcome more. If you feel intimidated, just come down to hang and watch. I believe a few out of towners[and country] polo player will there tonight. So if you're bored or looking for something to do, Smith Park in Lower Allston, 6PM. Off of Western by North Harvard.
Edit: we will lend out mallets and bikes so you don't ruin yours.
  3.
Mike, I'm hitting the wed ride tonight. Courts are basically on the way there. If my war little battle with the laundry monster is over in time, I'll swing by for a game. Be warned, I've not played since circa 2009, and I was never all that good. Will def need loaner bike/mallet.All you white kids look alike when you're still covered in baby fat, so I was getting bored with the non-stop WASP parade.

Stuff usually doesn't get started until 630/645 as people are coming from whatever they do during the day. No rush, if you don't make it, no big deal.
  4.
Ah, that would be cutting it close. Maybe I'll just come hang out for bit on the early side then (and steer the wed bike ride crew to the courts later on!)All you white kids look alike when you're still covered in baby fat, so I was getting bored with the non-stop WASP parade.

Those were definitely the A team players out there yesterday. People were out this afternoon too, but this is my work tour days, so I don't get to make it down(4 on, 4 off schedule). I'll probably be done there Wednesday night.

Polo season is starting to get into full swing again. Wednesdays and Fridays at 6PM and Sundays at 2PM down in Allston. All are welcome. Wednesdays the past year have been encouraged for new people to come down and play, but we generally are okay with any night. We have mallets and bikes for you to borrow so you don't screw up your sweet ride.
BBP member, Charlotte is hosting a women's and genderqueer polo clinic next month down in Allston. If you or know anyone that would like to come down and try it out that day, come on down. Info on flyer.
