this lady at a temp agency i've worked for before has an opening and seems like she'll basically take anyone i suggest (that meets the basic criteria). if you're interested, lemme know and i'll send you her email or something.

My client, a small investment brokerage house located in Wellesley, is in need of an account representative/administrative temporary.

They specialize in selling Insurance products and also previously-owned secondary annuities. Previously owned annuities are unique in offering above average rates of return without the risks associated with the equity markets. The position would start on/about September 9th and the entire month of September is paid cross training with the person who is going out on maternity leave. Therefore, it is critical for you to be able to give a solid commitment until the end of the year (or until the person returns from their maternity leave).

The hours are 8:30-5 and the pay is negotiable.

Daily tasks will include sitting at the front desk reception area, answering phones, accepting packages and handling in/out going mail. Most importantly, you would be responsible for processing annuity applications, entering information into their customized financial database, research licensing information, scanning paperwork and maintaining financial files. Also, reserving cases, case followup (through phone and email), calculate commissions in excel spreadsheet. Taking orders/trades.

Qualified candidates will be proficient with MS Suite and comfortable entering data into excel. Must have excellent communication skills (both written and oral), a strong attention to detail, critical thinking skills, and be assertive enough to ask questions if you are not 100% sure about something. Also, must be able to multi task without losing focus/detail. 4 year degree is required and investment/financial interest/background is helpful.

    flexible-ish schedule, good compensation
you will be working for me
6 month contract i think with possible extension maybe, not sure about that yet

andy it is full time as in 40 hours a week but it is not full time in that it is a temp position.
since it's a short term contract I am not sure about health insurance
i got health insurance when i was a temp but it was through my temp agency, so I'm not sure how it works if you're not represented by an agency

try looking on Commonwealth Sciences, they are an agency for science jobs only. they may host the job, and they were greatMust be awful, being so fluffy.

Whisper me if you've got interest and skillz.

    Software Engineer (Cambridge, Massachusetts)

The software engineer will create and support innovative analytic products and database applications that marketers in large non-profit organizations use to improve their direct marketing programs. These products and applications are designed to leverage a unique data warehouse of philanthropic transactional data that is designed to help non-profit fundraisers identify prospective donors.

The position will focus on applications and systems designed to perform semi-automated acquisition of data using custom crawlers, as well as the subsequent extraction, translation and loading of the data into a structured, searchable environment. The current infrastructure is server-based, but this role will involve migrating to a cloud deployment on AWS in the near future. Additionally, the role will be heavily involved in the maintenance, support and further development of existing client-facing web interfaces used to search the compiled database.

The company’s software development environment is rich in tools and technologies utilizing Visual Studio .Net, JavaScript, PHP, SQL, PL/SQL and T-SQL with MySQL, Oracle and SQL Server relational databases.

The selected candidate will be rewarded with a competitive compensation package, a progressive, creative and flexible work environment, and the unique opportunity to apply their skills to help worthwhile non-profits make a difference in the world. We are the small axe.
