In the old bike messenger thread, someone mentioned "barnes 'n nobles sell those spiral bound cabbie maps of all of boston." Does someone have one I can borrow? I have lived in this city far too long to get lost so often."Dude's just smashing fructosenormativity, lay off."

i believe you're referring to this. i have one but i think you're just better off getting your own b/c it sounds like you'd like to hang onto it for a while. can i say something snarky about the power of google now, ella? "spiral bound boston map" was all that i needed to find it.

I did google this before, but found multiple spiral-bound maps of Boston. I want only the one that is the best.DFL and DTF :D:D:D:D

all you're looking for is a pocket atlas of boston. in my experience, there isn't a lot of variety among modern maps these days.

but if it makes you feel better, evan, the one pictured above is what i have and IT IS THE BEST.

TIL how Lauren inadvertently owns all the time.

MIPB American Map - Metro Boston?"Dude's just smashing fructosenormativity, lay off."
  5.
I have to say I always thought the best resource for a cabbie was the "blue book" (it's a list of all of the streets in towns in eastern MA, listing the street # where the street crosses another street).

I could be wrong, it's been about 8 years, but I seem to remember the map I had (I think the city gave out the map and the bluebook, but heck if I remember) was a Rand McNally?

You can have my bed and my room for the night and I can stay at Maggie's, or we can set you up on a blowup in the bedroom that will be temporarily vacant then. Either way, you'll have a room to yourself. I'll pick you up, too. We'll get you a cat, don't worry -t-honks

it's jitensha:i believe what you are looking for is an impact drill

An impact drilling—Geez! To need that you must be drilling the middle out of new wheels. Balsa is very light but not structurally sound, unless this bicycle will be strictly for decoration. Perhaps over the entrance of a bbq restaurant that serves Blue Ribbon or Miller Highlife. Oh yes.

anyone have some Shimano R650 or other 47-57mm reach brakes. I would like to try and see if some work for the reach. I need to get something different, but already bought some long reach, and they are too long. So want to try some to see if they work better than my center pulls.boooyah
