    Slow pace, but fun ride. Met some cool new people (who arn't on here). FatherSorry and his friend (forgot his name) proved to have a very good eye when it comes to being bike "thieves". :P

    Also, dude with this bike showed up. Cool guy, and kick-ass bike (also forgot his name, too!). I took it for a quick spin and really, really liked it.

    I might be coming depending how I feel after work. Weather is supposed to be warm ~68-70F with 30-40% showers.

    It's starting to look a bit ify for me this week. May have to meet my dad 'round 8pm (he has Polio, and I often have to help him out with stuff).     I had to be in to work tonight at 6:30pm. When I was riding in the weather was perfect, traffic was hectic enough to be fun but not crazy, I seemed to have limitless energy, and my bike felt much more like an extension of "me" than other times (I know you all know what I am talking about). Everything was coming together for a perfect ride...to work. Ugh. I just wanted to keep going and going, and was really distraught that I couldn't go out on the ride tonight.     I know it is a common destination, but what about Castle Island? It is damn hot outside & we could swim legally there, and we could still watch the sun set behind the skyline.

    Oh, my doom. I feel like this a post of Craig's I would read.

    Before I left tonight I took *everything* out of my bag, except water and one 15mm wrench (not sure why I left that). This included all my flat repair stuff. This was a very smart thing for me to do, because those of you playing the home game, will remember my previous post about the horrific luck I have flat tires on bikes, car, and motorcycles. No sooner do we cross the Mass Ave bridge in Boston does someone get a flat. I can't remember his name. Super nice guy. While waiting for the fix I mention to a few other thats I had not *yet* been on of the Wed rides were someone managed to get a flat (it has happened, I just want around for it). Likewise, I mentioned that *I* had not managed to get one either.

    As we go down Columbus Ave I hear a PSSSSSSSSSSSS and feel the ass of my bike getting all mushy. Awesome. Now, remind me why I made the choice to leave my repair shit at home? The same dude who got the previous flat had patches and cartridges with him. He was kind enough to give me a patch and a cartridge. I had never used the glueless patches before (what he had), or C02 (i've got a decent hand pump Topeak Mini Morph), so I also got some roadside bike maintenance lesson on stuff I hadn't used before...so thanks to whatever your name is/was.

    We're off again. About a mile or so later I hear PSSST and the tire goes flat again. The patch didn't hold. At this point I say FUCK IT and hop on the orange line (we were about 1 block from Jackson Sq at this point). When I get to Park St, there is redline fail going on, and I wait 45 min for a train to come. Upon arrival home, I find out that my air condition has died. Normally, that would be bad enough. But yeah, my bedroom is in the *attic*. Guess who is sleeping in the basement tonight?

    Moral of the story: Now I know how Joan of Arc felt.

    EDIT: Good to meet the Sams, see the other regulars, meet a few new people, and hang with the Moped Crowde (and that crazy lady!!).All you white kids look alike when you're still covered in baby fat, so I was getting bored with the non-stop WASP parade.

    Hey guys, thanks for the killer ride. I was over by Jamaica Pond with my bike bumming because none of my friends were around to ride when I stumbled upon all of you fine people. I'm looking forward to next week!

    Damn good ride, best I've had so far. Also I probably sweat the most I have in a looooong time. So psyched to keep riding and keep sweating. See you guys next week!
