i thought there was a thread for this, but i couldn't find it.
we've all had our fair share of ailments and health problems...figured we could help each other out with any advice/recommendations/orders to go to a doc

so my question.. does anyone have experience with stomach ulcers?
im trying to figure out if i need to hit up a dr., or if im just paranoid and have gas or something

pain is just under lower tip of sternum. it doesn't hurt when im full, hurts when im hungry, which subsequently kills my appetite.
feels like im bloated/have a pile of bread sitting at the entrance to my stomach, but im not nauseous like the other times ive had that feeling.
it's been like this for 3 days now.somebody turn the lights off on this place already.

I had this, and it turned out to be ulcerative colitis/crohn's disease. That usually arises during your teenage years, so I'll bet that's not it, but in any case you'll need an endoscopy or colonoscopy to make sure of ulcers anyway.

pain so severe it disrupts your appetite definitely sounds like what UC did to me. I didn't want to eat, move, or really do anything when I had a flareup.

Have you had normal bowel movements during this?Naaaah, too uncool for the #messlyfe. I just like to hang out in loading docks and pretend to talk on my radio so that people will like me. - Mfratt

an easy way to see if it's cholecystitis (inflammation of the gallbladder, often due to a gallstone or other obstruction) is to lay on your back and exhale fully, then have a friend (you can also do it yourself, but it's not as easy) slide their fingers under your ribs on the right side at the mid-clavicular line and then inhale deeply; if you stop inhaling due to severe pain or there is a catch or skip in your breath due to pain, it's likely that your gallbladder is inflamed. you can also look up "Murphy's Sign" on youtube, i'm sure there has to be a video demonstration online1) Stop watching the donkey porn.

Dont you have a white collar job? Doesn't that provide health insurance? Go see a doctor. I think that should be the answer to every question in this thread.A few spokes shy of a wheel.
