Hi, all I wanted to share these exciting news about the debut of our flagship product, light emitting bike grips. Being that we're local, I felt it'll make sense to share this with the forum.
Check us out at www.hueraygrips.com and tune-in to Kickstarter around 4pm for early bird pricing.

    Thank you,
    Victor

Looks uncomfortable. The pinkie side of a human hand grab is most definitely NOT wider than the thumb side. This is why the Specialized Body Geometry grips, some of the most comfortable grips on the market, actually get narrower and taper flat towards the outer edge. Yours get wider towards the outer edge, which I can't imagine being comfortable.

Also, I love how everyone in your video is riding with the HueRay grips, but NO white front light OR rear red light or reflector. Not smaht. (Also illegal in MA, for that matter).::lols at Dan's great photoshopping job:: ::slowly stops laughing:: ::googles:: ::kills self:: -tinyhonkshus

Maybe if they were shaped more like ergo grips and there were several LEDs that cycle in a rainbow for style points in addition to real lights."life is hard, cats are soft." - surprisefries

Who wants to guess how much they're going to cost when they open their Kickstarter at 4pm today? Closest guess without going over wins -- "The Price Is Right" -style. Given that there's two USB rechargeable pucks in there and given that they seem to be trying *very* hard, I'll say $49.97.

More interestingly, who wants to guess how much they're going to make on this Kickstarter? Given that the ludicrously expensive and ill-thought-out Helios fused bar-stem-light made $120K, I'm gonna guess $500K for this.::lols at Dan's great photoshopping job:: ::slowly stops laughing:: ::googles:: ::kills self:: -tinyhonkshus

Victor, what's your connection to Superb?

There's three of their frames in your kickstarter photos, your model is standing in front of their shop, and the photos for the collage of 4 different handlebar types was clearly taken in front of their store.

(This isn't a challenge or call-out; I'm actually curious)I have DTF pants. They're crotchless. -surprisefries

Saw Jason Superb at the climbing gym last night. He said he tested out prototypes of the lights and thought they worked quite well. Wasn't really sold on the price point they're going for though. And he said that Victor came in hoping to get feedback and use some different bikes for shots and the shop was just willing to help him out - no actual connection or business relationship.I have DTF pants. They're crotchless. -surprisefries

you're assuming that drivers actually pay attention, and I don't imagine LEDs covered by huge pieces of rubber have a field of direct light that large.

Nat got right hooked bad in broad daylight yesterday and when he talked to the driver a bunch of bystanders got in his face like "HE DIDN'T HIT YOU STRAIGHT ON, YOU'RE FINE".

I feel like making drivers go back to driver's ed and stop being shitbags would help reduce collisions a lot more than fancy grips."life is hard, cats are soft." - surprisefries

On the topic of similar bicycle light related kickstarters, did anyone post this yet?

    https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/bikeballs/bike-balls-bike-light

light up truck nuts for your bike.gone
  3.
Strategic placement of a HueRay grip and the light up bike nuts would make for a pretty awesome Boston Bike Party costume (particularly the one this week considering the theme is "Boogie Lights" ostensibly based on the PT Anderson film "Boogie Nights" about the 70s porn scene).
  4.
There are a few bikes near my house (s0merville) that have these that are always locked up outside. I just put 2&2 together that they're huerays. They're so fucking ugly and look v uncomfortable.and then the time will come when you add up the numbers
