Yep, I put all bread things in the freezer. I’ve never tried this, but maybe it’s a good idea to cut them all (or finish cutting those partially cut ones) and just freeze a bunch of halves.

yeah, fresh bagels are fine uncut, but these are basic rubbery ones packed with preservatives which make them extra hard to even cut. That's unjustified"life is hard, cats are soft." - surprisefries

Since we're talking bagels, I have yet to find a decent bagel in Seattle. All the "gourmet" bagel places are doing knock-off Vancouver-style bagels, which are just knock-off Montreal-style bagels.Worstcase I'll just zip tie on a seat... but i'd rather not. —Zev (who else)

my entirely non-controversial opinion of the day is that making shows specifically for fb watch is dumb as hell. facebook watch is a nightmare. the video doesn't resize with your window, and every notification/chat window is all up in your dumbass face covering the god damn show. thumbs downnnThat may be my favorite DQ of all time - nerdo

I'm hoping that they'll just kill FB watch, but since it's really just a way to drive ads (15-second video ad placements are way more expensive than banner ads or sponsored posts) I doubt that'll happen anytime soon. They keep throwing me notifications which annoys me to no end.Worstcase I'll just zip tie on a seat... but i'd rather not. —Zev (who else)

This one office was constantly fucking up their packages today and one of the times I was waiting they asked if I wanted a coffee or something and I said sure. They had a fuckin huge Keurig (ewww)(why was it so big wtf) so I was like how about a seltzer? and their office fridge was pretty much empty except some budweiser so I was like thanks but oh look the package is ready gotta go

like, ye olde burnt drip coffee is better and y'all are rich, stock your kitchen. That keurig was the size of a minifridge

but the wildest shit is people who buy keurig tea pods rather than tea bags. whyyy"life is hard, cats are soft." - surprisefries

There’s a Keurig at my work. I was thinking about using it for just hot water on my tea that I bring in. Just out of a sense of caution I ran plain water through it and it was so gross, like three times in a row. And heads are drinking that shit every day, all day. Eww. So wasteful and pointless. I don’t understand why so many people have bought into it.

we had a water cooler thing at work that you fill up the 5 gallon jugs at The Water Shed (hurhurhur) and there's not especially any way to clean those giant things to the insides of the lids eventually start to look skeezy. we wound up getting a really good water filtration system installed, so we no longer need the water cooler thing, but i can't get anyone to take it away, so the water just sits there and maybe grows algae and every once in a while someone goes to drink from that, not the sink, and ...ew.That may be my favorite DQ of all time - nerdo

oh god we have a (regular size) keurig with both coffee and tea pods, but we also have a machine that grinds the beans and makes espresso/coffee, and i don't know why anyone uses the keurig except for flavored coffee

    BUT FLAVORED COFFEE IS GROSS

We do also have tea bags, and even some loose leaf that people bring in. I think people just can't wait the 4 minutes of steeping?

and we have a Bevi, but the big news is that for some reason we just got TWO 4-slice toasters. So we can now toast 8 things simultaneously. Whoa.DFL and DTF :D:D:D:D

The only good thing that the imperial system made was the pint, and it's a perfect unit of measurement, food-wise. Perfect amount for a bowl of soup, food storage, etc. Also wide mouth ball jars are where it's at. Still the worst system but pints are a good thing"life is hard, cats are soft." - surprisefries

i get irrationally angry at things that call for a half pint. like...that's a thing! it's a cup! just call it a cup! we don't call anything "a third of a yard," because that has its own name! a half of a pint is just a cuppppThat may be my favorite DQ of all time - nerdo
