    [as usual, taken from the wonderful folks over at ChiFG. feel free to add more posts about HTML tags, etc. anything off-topic will be removed as this should be a somewhat serious tutorial]

    Since many new users don't know how to post photos, this is a quick n' dirty tutorial.

    1) You need to host your photos somewhere. Flickr and imagebucket are popular sites for this.
    2) Once you've uploaded your photos you need to find out the location of the photo you're trying to show.
    3) You should get a location that looks something like this:

    Option A:

    <img src="http://examplesite.com/location/of/photo.jpg" />

    or

    Option B:

    http://examplesite.com/location/of/photo.jpg

    Now take Option A, and just cut and paste that where you want to in your post. Or just add the code to Option B; It's a pretty simple tag:

    <img src="nameofphoto.jpg"/>

    Which translates to "image source=location/nameofphoto.jpg".

    5) Select HTML where it says "Format comments as"

    That should be it.

    Enjoy.

    Note: Please try not to post NSFW (Not Safe For Work) or offensive photos/materials here. If you absolutely must include a NSFW item, please link to the item rather than post it, and make sure it is obviously disclosed that the image/link is NSFW.Ph'nglui mglw'nafh Cthulhu R'lyeh wgah'nagl fhtagn.

    In most places if you whisper to yourself you're considered kinda looney. Here it's the norm.clockwork ted: this is my favorite thread. sweet BJ alexi!
