^^ I disagree. Its a sick album no doubt; however, its a little tame and sounds very Mars Volta-ish. Thats not a bad thing, I just enjoyed their stuff more when there was more scream.

K, so apparently Reznor (Nine Inch Nails for those that don't know... which is probably no one here) just released a 36 track instrumental very very recently. He also released the first 9 tracks for free (and the rest is only 5 bucks for digital download). So far it's awesome... but good luck downloading it. The store page is broken, and the rapidshare to get it (legitimately) has a massive wait time - Click Here for ze RapidShare.
Here's the info off the site, and link.

"Nine Inch Nails presents Ghosts I - IV, a brand new 36 track instrumental collection available right now. Almost two hours of new music composed and recorded over an intense ten week period last fall, Ghosts I - IV sprawls Nine Inch Nails across a variety of new terrain.

Trent Reznor explains, 'I've been considering and wanting to make this kind of record for years, but by its very nature it wouldn't have made sense until this point. This collection of music is the result of working from a very visual perspective - dressing imagined locations and scenarios with sound and texture; a soundtrack for daydreams. I'm very pleased with the result and the ability to present it directly to you without interference. I hope you enjoy the first four volumes of Ghosts.' "

This might be as new as it gets until the new releases this week, heh.Question Reality. "Fear is the mind-killer. Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration. I will face my fear."

all you Reznor fans should check out (clickable image for free and legal download):
    .

It's a newish album that is a collaboration between Trent and Rap/Poet Saul Williams..

also an interesting piece of information I've heard/read is that supposedly Trent Reznor and Dr. Dre are pretty big fans of each others production skillz and Trent was in the studio with Dre for some of the session for "The Chronic: 2001"...

As an avid... anti-fan of rap, I was very, very wary of the Niggy Tardust album (plus the blatant play off of the Bowie album kind of annoyed me) but it's actually really bloody good.Question Reality.
